November was quite a month and not only for the markets, but for the U.S. electorate as they went to the polls to select the new President of The United States. Monthly Investment Review: October 2016
US investors suffered the brunt of the selling in October with all three domestic benchmarks ending the month solidly in the red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and the NASDAQ Composite were down 0.91%, 1.94% and 2.31%, respectively. European equities didn’t fare much better. The MSCI Europe Index was down just under 3.40% for October. Asian equities; however, were the clear outperformers with Japan’s Nikkei 225 up 2.08% and China’s Shanghai Composite up 1.65%. Read more
